Lindsay R. Horne, Esq.
Lindsay Horne is a Virginia-licensed attorney with years of experience working in both civil and criminal law in the Commonwealth. Lindsay started her legal career working for a small private law firm where she represented clients in the areas of family law, criminal law, and traffic matters. She also served as court-appointed counsel or court-appointed guardian-ad-litem during this period. After private practice, Lindsay worked for many years with a non-profit organization, the Virginia Legal Aid Society, where she worked extensively in the areas of housing law, consumer law, and family law. Following her time at the Virginia Legal Aid Society, Lindsay went on to work as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Lynchburg, where she represented numerous City departments either in litigation or by contract drafting or review. Finally, and directly before joining SLS, Lindsay served for several years as a prosecutor for the City of Lynchburg.
In addition to practicing law, Lindsay also previously taught legal courses to first-year law students as a residential adjunct professor at Liberty University School of Law. Over the years, Lindsay has served in a number of volunteer and service roles, including a local youth hockey organization, a Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, and CASA.
Lindsay is a member of the Virginia State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Virginia. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court of the Western District of Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
In her free time, Lindsay enjoys being outside as much as possible, and spending time with her family.
